Lejoy By Kam is an online retail store for a client of mine under my business NTF-Designs. I worked with this client to create her logo, color scheme website planning and eventually her entire website. The purpose of her website is to drive prospective customers to the shop page to buy clothing. Her target audience is young women between the ages of 16-30 looking for bathing suits, club outfits, and semi-formal attire.
Lejoy By Kam is an online boutique that changes website design with the seasons, as of now the site features a summer tropical theme featuring the collection "Tropical getaway". With the design for this theme I wanted to give users the feeling of escape, the clothing is colorful, revealing and features many bright and warm colors. I decided to reflect the color scheme with a title that uses a sun orange for tropical at the top, and a sea blue for getaway at the bottom giving a beach sunset mood.
The desktop design opens with a 3 photo collage of LBK's 3 most anticipated outfits on one slider, with the business owner's 3 favorite outfits on the 2nd slider. This gives users a good idea of what the entire collection features has soon as the website is loaded. A "New Arrivals" button occupies the middle of the screen to draw attention to the user immediately so they can view the entire collection.
Directly below the website features a slider with the entire collection featured for users that prefer to explore the home page before transitioning to the product collection. The home page also features an Instagram grid so users can keep up with the business updates on Instagram, a "Kam's Favorite" product highlight, a wishlist tab to save products for later and a mail list query.
Lejoy By Kam is a small business that promotes primarily through social media, which means 90% of website viewers will be interacting with the site via mobile devices. With this knowledge in mind I believed it was important to prioritize the mobile design. For the opening image I asked for my client to show me the product she believed will receive the most attention so we can feature that product first. She decided to go with the orange dress featured below. New arrivals button is still featured on the mobile design center screen to attract users directly to the shop page. Her second most anticipated product being the red mesh dress is also featured with the opening image along with the "Photo Ready" graphic to prompt users to post the purchased outfits on Instagram and tag the business for growth and outreach. The Wishlist is also featured in the mobile design along with a colorful animation when products are selected. So far this website redesign has brought my client over $10 thousand in revenue.
Lejoybykam has received much acclaim from customers, prospective customers and other designers for it's modern design, simplicity(making it easy for users to understand and focus on shopping) and aesthetically pleasing design. The website is still active to this day and selling, making it easier for the business owner to focus on bringing quality clothing to her clients and scaling her business.
